New: when an update is out, Nuticast shows a Download and Install button. It downloads the new version, checks that it's signed by Nuticast, then closes the app, installs the update and opens it again. Bridges that were running come back on their own. You no longer have to download the DMG and drag it to Applications yourself.
The Log section on a device's page now starts collapsed. Click the arrow to open it.

nuticast mcp now works with OpenAI Codex, which used to be rejected when it opened the connection. Add it with codex mcp add nuticast -- /Applications/Nuticast.app/Contents/Helpers/nuticast mcp. A Codex plugin is on the way too.
New: an AI agent can now save your iPhone in Nuticast itself with the new nuticast_add_device tool, so you don't have to run nuticast add by hand.
nuticast license activate now asks for your key with hidden input when you don't pass it, so the key never ends up in your shell history.

nuticast mcp now notices when a running bridge has lost its Bonjour record (which can happen after the Nuticast menu bar app is opened or updated) and tells Claude to stop and restart the bridge, instead of reporting it as running while Xcode can't see the iPhone.
When Xcode lists the iPhone but shows it as unavailable, the hint now reminds you to unlock the phone with the screen on and keep the menu bar app closed.

New: nuticast mcp lets Claude (Claude Code, Claude Desktop and other MCP clients) list your saved iPhones and start or stop a bridge for you, so an AI agent can get a remote iPhone ready for Xcode without you touching the Terminal.
Fixed the Tailscale device list failing with a "Couldn't parse" error when you use the standalone Tailscale app. Nuticast now reads its list correctly, and shows the real message if Tailscale answers with something else.
Device detection keeps working with the newer device list format that recent Xcode versions use.

Fixed bridging failing with "Couldn't determine this Mac's network address" on Macs with built-in Ethernet (Mac mini, Mac Studio, iMac, 10Gb cards), where Wi-Fi isn't the first network port. Nuticast now finds whichever network connection your Mac is actually using.

Update notices now show up where you'll actually see them: a banner in the main window and a small dot on the menu bar icon, not just buried in Settings.

Fixed a bug where a bridged iPhone could stay invisible to Xcode even though Nuticast showed the bridge as active — happened when Xcode picked a connection port that briefly collided with another app on your Mac.
