Privacy Policy

Short version

Nuticast doesn't collect any data about you or how you use it. There's no account, no analytics, no telemetry, and no server this app talks to other than the CLIs already installed on your own Mac (tailscale, dns-sd, devicectl).

What the app stores, and where

Device profiles you create (display name, Bonjour hostname, Tailscale hostname/IP, port range) are stored in a local JSON file under ~/Library/Application Support/Nuticast/. This file never leaves your Mac and is not synced anywhere.

Network traffic

When a bridge is active, the app relays TCP/UDP traffic between your Mac and your iPhone over your own Tailscale tailnet. This traffic is between devices you control, over a network you already operate — it does not pass through any server operated by us.

Purchases

If you buy a license, payment is processed by our payment provider (Lemon Squeezy), who collects the billing information necessary to process the transaction and comply with tax law. We do not receive or store your card details. See Lemon Squeezy's own privacy policy for how they handle payment data.

Website analytics

This website may use privacy-respecting, cookie-free analytics to understand aggregate traffic (e.g. which pages are visited). No personally identifying data is collected through the website beyond what's normal for any web server access log.

Changes

If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date above will change with it.
